Different Ways of Accessing VoIP
Voicemail
A variety of VoIP providers offer VoIP
answering service in their calling plan. But, the special features of it comes
on how the users can access the voicemail messages.

There are actually 4 methods by
which a person can access VoIP voicemail messages.
- Using phone
Among the
most common method is through the phone itself. You can simply
call *123 or various combination depending upon the provider.
Once you dial the number, you will instantly be connected to an
automatic attendant that will give you an idea of how many
voicemails you have as she tries to give you step by step
procedures on how you can read all your new voicemails. You can
as well save or delete such messages.
- Local voicemail access
number
The next means
is through a local voicemail access number. You can dial your
local voicemail access number using any telephone, and then an
automatic attendant will request you to dial your
VoIP phone
number and password for you to get the access to the voicemail
system.
- Online account management
portal
You can also access your VoIP voicemail via online account management portal. Simply go
to the homepage of your provider wherein you can see the
“Customer Login” portal, simply punch in your username and
password. After doing so, hit the Voicemail tab. These simple
steps will give you the opportunity to listen to your new
voicemails over Internet connection.
- Email
The last and the most effective
method is when every time you receive a new voicemail, you will
be given an email notification. The email provides information
about your voicemail that you freshly receive in your account;
the date and the attachment information are as well provided.
Good thing about this is that you can save the wav file in your
computer.
All of these are methods given to
customer to access to their voicemails by
a VoIP provider who provide VoIP answering service. You need to clear this issue out to your provider
before finally signing up a contract with them so you know
